Question Answer
What if I start a package but it isn't a good fit? Contact us to ask about a refund. Refunds are usually calculated as follows:
package purchase price - (number of hours used * single session rate)
Whate if I need to cancel or reschedule a session? Just let your councilor know if you need to reschedule or cancel at least 48 hours in advance. If the reason for cancelling or rescheduling is illness, let the councilor know at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel or reschedule with less advance notice, the scheduled session will still count towards your limit.
Is there a referral bonus? Yes! Check with Carol or Bruce for current referral bonuses. Even sibling referrals count!
Is this expensive? Expensive? Yes. Overpriced? No. We have specialized skill sets with extensive experience and you can get a lot of value for the price. If you aren't sure if the expense is worth it, feel free to do the free consultation before deciding. We don't require consultations like many other companies before sharing pricing because ours is about explaining the service, not a sales pitch. Just information, not pressure or fearmongering.
How do your stats compare to other college counselors? Tough to know for sure. If you are coming to us, you probably have a better than average chance even before our first session. A lot of college counselors do some "creative" math when calculating their statistics. I saw one the other day claim "100% of our students enter their dream school*". That asterisk led me down a rabbit hole where I discovered they only counted students starting in the 99th percentile of scores. If college counselors count that way, what service are we even providing? We're here for you regardless of your starting scores. I think you'll be more than satisfied with what we provide.
